Hey Readers,
April is National Poetry Month—a time to honor the quiet and powerful ways words can move us. If you’ve been following A Busy Lady for awhile, you know that last year we did the “Time Traveler Poetry” in which I shared some of my earliest poems, written years ago.
Today, in honor of National Poetry Month, I’d like to share a newer poem, Manifest, (written within the last seven years).
Manifest is a poem that emerged from one of those quiet moments, as I thought about the stories we carry—those lived, those still unwritten—asking to be told. This poem is a reminder to listen closely and trust that what you create matters, and not being afraid to share it with the world.
I hope you enjoy!
In the meantime . . . what will dreams will you manifest this month? What stories will you tell?
Manifest
By: Sarah Crowne
Remember
candlelight dreams
manifesting the universe
in dark corners
where hope still crept in.
Word by word,
line by line,
a story of a life
Captured in ink, what the heart forgot.
But always, kept in moments,
fevered by vision—
of things unlived
but breathing
now, all at once.
Someday, yesterday—
an eternal, expanding space
that stretches and fades,
then slowly comes to view.
Being all it is,
all you are,
dancing in corners,
waiting to sing, in light.
So sing.
Manifest.
The world waits to hear.
Till Next Time,
Sarah

A Busy Lady is written by an actual human—no AI, just chocolate, creativity, and a love for storytelling. This also means there may be an occasional typo, just to prove a human did it ;)
Loved your poem !
